Aurora Island Lodge is owned and operated by Yellowknife Outdoor Adventures LTD. We offer more private, secluded, and personalized service for your northern most memorable experience. Our location is second to none as the Auroras are always above our viewing decks.

Travel to our cozy wilderness Aurora island lodge on great slave lake in the comfort of our heated snow tracked vans. We can accommodate up to 45 guests,

This tour is delivered from our main cabin, seats 30 guests very comfortably, with full kitchen, dining room style seating, large warm wood stove, heated washrooms, aurora viewing decks just out the door with 360 degree viewing of open skies. View the spectacular Auroras/ Northern lights then enjoy hot

beverages, cookies and snacks. You can bring your favorite beverages and foods you would like.

4 hour tour:

  • First tour $130.00 +gst per person
  • Second tour: $120.00 +gst per person
  • Third tour: $115.00 +gst per person
  • Hotel pick-up and drop-off: $8.00 +gst per person

You can choose to have your Aurora viewing tour tour with your own private cabin on the island. Cabin has wood stove and full kitchen.

4 hour tour:

  • 2 -4 guests: $185.00 +gst per person
  • 8-15 guests: $170.00 +gst per person
  • 16-30 guests:$160.00 +gst per person

Join us and spend the whole night on Great Slave lake viewing the magnificent and spectacular Aurora Borealis show or as some name them “Northern lights”.

We begin by picking you up at you hotel and transfer you onto our 15 passenger vans on tracks to arrive at our Aurora Island lodge. You will be viewing the auroras from our main cabin until 1:00am.

The camp manger will then show you to your overnight cabin. The camp manger lives onsite, there is always someone at the lodge.

We supply the bedding and sleeping bags on our comfortable bunk beds.

continental breakfast is provided in the morning.

You can also bring your favorite food for breakfast if you like.

You would return to town around 12:00 (noon)

We have 2 cabins that can sleep 4- 6 guests and one cabin “Aurora cabin” that can sleep up to 12 guests.

You could extend your stay by having breakfast, then joining in on the Ice Fishing Tour from the lodge.

4 hour tour

Pick-up is at 11:30am from the lodge. We provide all the fishing gear and tackle.

A hot lunch of fresh fish soup, hot buns/butter with sashimi and dessert is served around 1:30pm at the lodge Return to town around 3:15pm
